Celebrations

This past weekend was a blast and celebrating my birthday with friends and family was such a joy.
I can't believe I turned 21.

 Sometimes I feel a lot older than 21 with having the responsibility of a marriage already, but sometimes I am more than certain it was yesterday that I remember celebrating my fifth birthday at our local park. I'm finally legal, guys. I was excited about ordering my first drink at a restaruant, so when I went out to lunch with my parents, I got a Belleni. Well, the guy didn't even card me. What the heck? haha. That's okay, because I am actually really embarrassed by DL picture. But, because I love y'all I guess I have to show you...

Never talk during your picture, or find the nice lady who will let you retake your picture. hahaha
For my birthday night we went out to eat with a bunch of wonderful friends. I was so blessed by their presence. We have some wonderful and good looking friends. :) My sweet and thoughtful friend Janie made me this hilarious cake. The best part though? The cake was tye-dye!

There was more than just my birthday to be celebrated this weekend.
It was also my sister's Junior prom and my brother went with someone even though he has graduated.

Don't I have a handsome brother and stunning sister? I can't believe how old they are either.


Also, it was my sweet Momma's birthday. I must've been the best birthday present ever. ;) I love my sweet momma. She is so selfless and caring. She hardly ever thinks of herself first and is always giving. I pray I become half the woman she is.



In other news, we leave for Disney World on THURSDAY!!

I'm so excited! We are going out to eat with friends and I can't wait to celebrate.

I definitely wouldn't complain.

Crossfit: I workout.

I'm back at it.

I'm went feet first and joined my local CrossFit gym last week.

I've always been an athlete and for the first time in a long time, I'm ready to embrace that again.

I want to be fit and strong. I already feel stronger.

I thought working out with a bunch of people would be really intimidating, but it is just the opposite.

It is very encouraging to have a class full of people rooting you on and pushing you to your limits. 

Oh and I get to see my little bro almost everyday. We goof off a lot. hehe.

He's my biggest fan. He is always saying "dang Breanne you did awesome"

or "Breanne, your calves look good. I wish mine looked that good."

He flatters me, what a good brother I have. 

Whaddup, I dead-lifted 205 lbs last week. I was pumped! 

I cooked my first official Paleo recipe tonight from PaleOMG! 

It was an adventure to say the least.

I turned on the oven to preheat it while I finished some cooking on the stovetop.

I started to hear some crackling in the stove and kendall said, "it smells like something is burning"

That's when it clicked...I had left the George Foreman in the oven! 

Why?

Because it was the only place to stash it before we had visitors last week.

Cooking fail!

I made Tex-Mex Hash Casserole.

It was essentially ground turkey meat, hash sweet potatoes, enchilada sauce, and eggs.

It was Delicious!

There is Power in the Name of Jesus

For the first time today, in what seems like a very long time, I woke up feeling....

Just feeling. Feelings of happiness, joy, new life, peace, gladness, excited.

I wasn't numb to emotions, bitter, indifferent or angry. Not to sound dramatic, but this is very much the only things I've been feeling for what seems like a long time. As much as I tried to grasp onto the Lord, I have failed so miserably. I have given into the easy things like choosing pain and sorrow rather than clinging to His joy and comfort. I was mad because I felt like I deserved something from the Lord, something telling me He still wanted me. He tells me everyday but I wasn't listening.

He finally got through to me in my dreams last night.

I woke up with this saying on my heart:

There is POWER in the name of Jesus.

My heart was singing this as I woke from the dream I believe the Lord gave me last night. In my dream I was fighting obstacle after obstacle. I was tired, exhausted, and weak. In my dream I began declaring the name of Jesus over those obstacles and I watched as one by one, they were disappearing right before my eyes. The Lord was going before me and defeating them as I said "JESUS" over each obstacle that was before me in my life.

Today I feel like I've been given a new breath of life. Today we celebrate the Risen Lord. I believe this is no coincidence that the Lord revealed himself to me on this day. I feel like I'm entering into a new season that is going to be full of overcoming with the Lord going before me and a season full of life in the name of Jesus.

I will declare His name and see the power of His name work in my life and through others.

 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11

Also, super thankful for a husband that has been so patient and helpful throughout this whole process who leads our little family through the word of God. 

Y'all, I'm back! I feel like "me" again. Yay!
